Marrakech Airport is not far away from the old city – Marrakech Medina, only 2 miles / 3 km separate this two places in the city of Marrakech. Getting transportation from the airport of Marrakech to the old Medina is quite easy still I’ll share with you a couple of things that will make your arrival to Marrakech much easier. From Marrakech Airport to Marrakech Medina
By taxi from the airport – taxis are waiting outside arrivals gate, and you’ll have plenty of offerings. Be calm and watch the show of taxi drivers trying their best to get some clients. Price is kind of expensive for the trip but there is no chance of changing or bargain the price as it is fixed price of 150 Dirhams / 15 Euros per trip. You can share this price with other people on the taxi. Expect a 15 minutes trip to the Medina as you cross part of the new town and the city ramparts;
By bus from the airport – buses are hassle free and take you on a small tour around town stoping in a fw dozen of bus stops around Marrakech. Expect local Marrakchi people sharing the bus with you afterwards as it is a normal city bus. Hourly departures starting 6:30 am until 11:30 pm. Price of ticket is 20 Dirhams / 2 Euros, or you can get a round-trip ticket for 30 Dirhams / 3 Euros. You buy your ticket to the bus driver. This bus will take you from the airport to Koutoubia mosque right in front of Jemaa el Fna square in about 20 or 30 minutes depending the city traffic at the moment you take the ride;

By walk from the airport – you will have to walk 500 meters from the airport’s gate until the outside. From there turn left and you can walk about 3 kms to the city center.
